That feeling of being in the middle of nothing and everything at the same time. Paracas National Reserve amazes and captivates from the very beginning. Moreover, the route that leads to this beach is unparalleled. The rock formations seen along the way hold a history of millions of years. They say that millions of years ago, Paracas was not located at 14° below the Equatorial Line, but at 60° near the current Arctic Circle, and while much of what is now Peruvian territory was underwater, that place had a jungle environment. The fossils of tropical plants discovered at La Mina Beach confirm it.
